Your honeymoon is going to be a well-deserved vacation after all the turmoil of the wedding day itself. How do you plan a honeymoon that’s relaxing, exciting and truly unforgettable, though? We have gathered some tips for you – so read on and find out more.
· Dream up. Start planning the honeymoon about 6 months before the departure date, so that you have plenty of time to discuss things with your fiancé, to decide on your location and agent, as well as to research hotel and transportation options. Once this is done, book the tickets, make reservations for activities that request it and reserve a rental car too.
· Remember to obtain your visas and/or passports with at least 3 months before the wedding date. Also, consider the option of purchasing travel insurance and get certified for scuba diving too (if you plan on doing this while away, of course).
· As the wedding day approaches, remind yourself to re-check your reservations and to make your packing list too. Also, don’t forget to make photocopies of your ID, insurance policy, passport and all the other important documents you might need while you are away.
· Before you leave, do make sure to stop your newspaper deliver, to redirect the email to your office and to ask your registry stores to put the gift sending on halt until you return. If you have a cat or a dog, find a kennel or a sitter to provide them with everything they need while you are away.
